Trustee Networking, Training and Development

CAS are running the following FREE events for trustees, directors and members of management committees.  These short workshops and network events are funded by the National Lottery and are intended to develop the skills and knowledge of volunteers steering local groups of all sizes.
 
We are drawing on the skills and expertise of individuals with a national perspective to deliver workshops that are highly relevant to you now.   As well as workshops we
will be offering a number of follow up supports – from one to one coaching to the development of peer support triplets.
 
Introduction to finance for trustees 
10am to 1pm Saturday 10th July at the CAS offices – for all trustees
 
-  Understand the legal and financial responsibilities of trustees
-  Interpret your financial systems, policies and procedures
-  Effective budgeting and financial planning
-  Understand your management accounts and what to look for
-  Year end accounts and the Annual Report
 
Treasurers club
2pm to 5pm Saturday 10th July at the CAS offices – suitable for treasurers and finance directors
 
-  Manage the treasurer relationship within the trustee team
-  Develop effective ways of working with the staff/executive team on finance
-  Understand the true costs of services
-  Explore and manage financial risks
-  Network with other treasurers and develop peer support networks
 
Trustees network meeting: personalisation of services
10am to 1pm Saturday 17th July at The Well Community Church – for all trustees
 
-  Social care packages versus Individual Budgets
-  Understand the impact of Personalisation on your organisation
-  Address the challenges and the opportunities
-  Network with trustees from other organisations in Southwark
-  Commission support and training for Autumn 2010
 
Chairs masterclass: leading boards and managing change
